Seiffen is 60 kilometers southeast of Chemnitz near the Czech border. At an altitude of 650 to 700 meters above sea level, the toy village is almost on the ridge of the Ore Mountains.
Seiffen is a state-recognized resort and certified as a family-friendly place.
The late Baroque mountain church, Seiffen's landmark, was built by Christian Gotthelf Reuther and consecrated in 1776. Especially at Christmas time we recommend listening to the organ playing and various concerts in our festively decorated mountain church.

Centuries-old traditions, not least shaped by the unique Erzgebirge craftsmanship, have largely been preserved here.
The many event highlights in the spa town of Seiffen are very popular with our guests. These include the mountain parades in the Advent season, the Whitsun hike “Around Toyland”, the “Days of Historical Crafts” in the open-air museum or the various concerts in the famous baroque church.
Pointed-gable houses in the Ore Mountains offer an impressive setting for the handicraft production of the well-known and coveted Seiffen wooden arts and crafts. Incense smokers, nutcrackers, pyramids and many other symbolic figures from Seiffen are brought to life in two demonstration workshops and numerous handicraft businesses and factories.
